There was some earlier vandalism to the page, which has now been reverted. Eagleash (talk) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]

I attempted it, but it was reverted because I did it wrong somehow? What did I do wrong? (talk) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can tell from the article histories, you didn't merge the articles, you redirectedLake Mykee Town, Missouri to point to Holts Summit, Missouri. In doing so you completely removed the information in the former article from the active database. The subject of an article doesn't lose notability if it no longer exists. If the village is no longer extant, just note that fact, with a supporting reference. Rojomoke (talk) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict)This was answered at Talk:Lake Mykee Town, Missouri#Merger proposal. There was insufficient time allowed for any discussion. You opened the proposal discussion and closed it 10 minutes later. As an 'involved' editor, technically you should not have been the one to close the discussion, certainly not after such a short period of time. I am not sure whether you read the instructions at WP:MERGEPROP and WP:FMERGE but you should do so (if you have not already) before trying again. If the merger proposal is accepted by the community, following the instructions should ensure that there are no problems. Eagleash (talk) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]
In addition, Rojomoke is correct in that notability does not cease to exist because a settlement has been absorbed into a different administrative area. Towns which became part of Greater London in , for example, do not redirect to the GL page. Eagleash (talk) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]

    Hello,

I recently noticed someone has put up a page, with incorrect information, about me - how do I go about getting it deleted please ( I prefer to simply delete the whole page rather than edit the information )

    Many thannks.

@2AC7D:CAB85CEB:2E It would help if you could provide a link to the page in question. However, you have little, if any, control over what any Wiki page contains. Wikipedia articles are based upon what has been written about the subject in independent reliable sources (any unsourced material is likely to be deleted). As you have a conflict of interest, you can make editing suggestions at the article talk page, but you should not edit the article itself. You would need to provide reliable sources to support the changes you wish to make. An article would only be deleted if certain criteria are fulfilled. Eagleash (talk) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]
Hi Martin. If you are a truly public figure, of assured notability, then the article is not likely to be taken down solely because you wish it so. But if you are not, then see WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE. However, any unsourced or poorly sourced information in an article on a living person can be removed by anyone, including you, immediately. As above, we can offer only very general advice without knowing which article this is aboutFuhghettaboutit (talk) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]

This help desk is for the English Wikipedia. You would need to ask at the Greek Wikipedia. . --David Biddulph (talk) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]

Of course, you're right. I thought that didn't look like Greek. Perhaps el:Βικιπαίδεια:Βοήθεια, which is a Greek equivalent to the English Help:Contents? — Preceding unsigned comment added by David Biddulph (talk • contribs) , 1 June (UTC)[reply]

I am currently working on the article of a newspaper editor. Can I use a report of his newspaper as a reference in his article? To be specific, I am working on Zahid Ali Khan, the editor of Siasat. For example can I use this [1] as a reference in his article? I am concerned as I have a feeling that it may be a primary source.
